Willow basketry is one of the world's oldest crafts, rooted in ancient tradition and shaped by nature. From hand harvesting each willow rod to placing the final weave, every step is done completely by hand. The work is careful and demanding, with each basket slowly formed by the maker while still honoring the natural curves of the willow. No two pieces are ever quite the same, and each one carries a softness, a sense of patience, and a simple connection to the land it came from.
